What the app sends over the internet

DiskWhisk makes only these network requests:

• Update checks. DiskWhisk periodically downloads https://diskwhisk.app/appcast.xml to see whether a new version is available (you can turn this off). Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and app version to our web host. No system profile is sent.
• License activation. If you enter a license key, DiskWhisk sends the key and your Mac’s model identifier (for example “Mac15,6”) to our payment provider, Polar, to activate and occasionally re-check the license. Nothing is sent if you don’t use a license.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Polar, our reseller and merchant of record, with payments processed by Stripe. They collect the information needed to process your payment and taxes (such as your name, email, billing country and payment details) under Polar’s Privacy Policy. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can deliver your license and provide support. We never see your full payment card details.

Support emails

If you email us, we use your message and email address only to help you. If you use Send Feedback…, the draft email includes your app version, macOS version and whether you have a license. You can review or remove this before sending.

This website

This website uses no cookies and no tracking scripts. Checkout and your account pages are hosted by Polar. Our host, Cloudflare, may process standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access or delete the personal data we hold about you (your order and support history) by emailing support@diskwhisk.app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA. We’ll honor them.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
